Hi

Some days ago member KumKum from this forum ask me about new unit ... more powerful subsitute for his Vapochill LS, becasue he wasn't really satisfied with temperatures ....so ... :

Specs :

Compressor: HIGHLY CHW 33TC4-U - it's 18000 BTU/ 1.5 HP rotary icon15.gif
evap: steeper by piotres
XV: captube 0.8 mm
condenser: 3 row, cooled with 4 x 120 mm 12v fans
Refrigerant : R507+R410a blend
Case : Chipboard base plate 32 x 40 cm, painted black
Others : SLHX - 15mm with 1/4' inside, around 50 cm long

I want to reach sth like -48-50*C@225W load :-) .

It's worklog ...I've start making this unit yesterday, and till now I've worked on it not more that sum of 2 hours ;-).

So I have only make baseplate (sorry for very poor picture, I promise that next ones will be much better smileJap.gif ) :

I can't promise, but maybe tomorrow I'll be having more time and I'll do some more work tongue.gif .

And later unit made devil's number hehe . I've tryied pure R410a and I've found that blend with R507 is much better ..with pure R410a hiside with 225W load goes up to 19 bara, -54*C evap - but that was with no insulated SLHX (23*C ambient) and later I've swap it for R507&410a blend (around 90%/10%) ..hiside max 15 bara and -57*C@225W smileJap.gif icon15.gif .

Final charge, no load .

225W loaded = -57*C evaporator dawa.gif

Tomorrow I plan to test unit on E6600ES and later pack it tongue.gif .

if you authorize me Piotres smileJap.gif

By mp he give me 3.9Ghz with 1.6v of Vcore to be more precise -59.8c idle and -59.4*c same settings in load dawa.gif

but if you also compare for example with this other powerfull dod 1 stage by Piotres the results in about the same in load and it is what I expected and asked some smileJap.gif

I meant even if 3.9GHz@1.6V is not such a big heat load, it's amazing the way temp' are almost the same between idle and full load smileJap.gif

yes I agree well on this point on as I have say it in my post preceding
Piotres will inform us on this point and my owns tests in live also and especially relating to me ^^
but the powerfull CP, the optimized mixture of 2 gases as well as the SLHX, undoubtedly explains also that

And it is clear that I will go much higher even without MOD but that nevertheless makes it possible to compare because it always keeps the same parameters

let us not forget that we are there with a DOD 1 stages "only" and not auto-cascade ^^ and this result is perfect for me biggrin.gif smileJap.gif love1.gif

E6600ES @ 3.9Ghz/1.6V idle. Damn mine unmoded Asus P5N-E SLI don't want to run much over over 430 FSB sweatdrop.gif . That's why so low clock , and vcore without vmod is poor too wink.gif . Sorry guys for that.

Same in stress during SuperPi ...as You can see 0.5*C diffence, I think it show power of that "little" compressor biggrin.gif .

so i big pb when i open the box

see that guys

user posted image

a valve of filling broke and remains untraceable in more in limps (???)

thus well on the empty circuit and the unusable dod

I have join piotres but it did not answer me yet because I knows it in this moment very occupied by its final school examinations

thus my questions

1- did somebody knows in Paris area where I reside a good craftsman or even you who read me able 1 to resolder a perfectly hermetic valve ?

2- To fill is the circuit with proportioning with origin of Piotres 90% of R507c and 10% of R410a ?

thank you to help me guys smileJap.gif
