Hello
That's very simple and cheap chiller. Based on 6800BTU rotary compressor (quite silent as for rotary) . Owner want to make cost as low as possible so I even don't insulate that unit fully and don't mount pump and reservoir. Owner made that by himself
.
Plate HX and TXV give quite nice performance. I must add "warm" gases like 134a or 600a to rise temperature
- owner want min 0*C in load or warmer.
With pure R507 it can do around -15C @500W tea heater put in 2l of liquid and small pump.
It's rebuilded from chiller which I've made 4 years ago, which stand at shelf in mine workshop since that time (has bad pipe-in-pipe HX which I've scrap). Condensor isn't looking great, because it's from old shop fridge cooling unit
.

Only around 350W power consumption, when chiller is loaded
.
Final charge, 507+134a+600a = around 0*C in 2l of liquid loaded with 500W tea heater .
I can't check how cold it can go without load because liquid freeze in pipes when is pass -25C ...one time I've even seen -32C but that still hasn't the coldest it can go. Crap car radiator fluid even with alcohol mix = freeze after long time of work in -25C.
Thanks
With Kindest Regards
