Hi guys here

Sometimes ago I have shown that unit on XS.org ...but maybe some person haven't seen it there ..so (paste from XS.org) :

Some weeks ago I got few rotary compressors ...so I decided to make a single-stage unit with one of that devils, to check how they perform .

Specs :

Compressor: Sanyo C-1RV137H11AA
evap: chilly1 patern (made in Poland )
holddown: PCV 10mm
XV: CPEV Fach "PZ"
condenser: 1 kW, 2 row, alu-cu, cooled by orginal 230 V fan
Refrigerant : R507
Case : Chipboard case, dimensions 51x39x42 cm, painted black, alu mesh on the front panel
others: SLHX

The heart of unit

Evap ..chilly1 clone (of older revs) .

Making a SLHX ..

Some pipe work .

Filling with R507 .

That's first run frost .

Insulation complete and electric instalation done.

Case just after painting .

Complete unit .

Let's see what that baby can do :

Very "small" vac .. only sth like -0.97 bara... LOLLL

Some nice numbers, remember that's just pure R507 .

Have You ever seen lower temperature in Single-stage unit ??

Mine A64 3000+ Venice benching rig .

That's stressed with 3000+ Venice @ 3211 MHz on 1.82V ... -55.5*C evap loaded (during SuperPI) , CPU around -15 to -18*C .

That's ...hym ..idle ..let's say that's idle - mine CPU has a coldbug when it reach -30*C on CPU, so after 5 second of end of SuperPi run I have got -60*C evap and freezed Windows ..so really I can't test it in idle, I hope will be able to run @ sth like -60*C evap (maybe evan bit lower) idle on simillar CPU like mine .

That unit is currently for sale (look @ for sale section), price won't be high for that performance ...

I can sale also a compressors like used in this DoD ...I have many 8000-9000 BTU rotaries.

PM me if You're interested.

Regards
Peter

nice dod man
rotary cp are impressive as usual (rastavid, here, did -64°C on a rotary powered dod with R290 ) but I bet it runs very hot

oh, I almost forgot : what's a SLHX ? Do you have pic of it without insulation ?

Thx guys

Yes, after 3 hours benching top of compressor is around 100*C .

SLHX = Suction Line Heat Exchenger - it helps to condense a refrigerant, and cool the liquid comming from condenser ...maybe I show it on some pics :

Here is a SLHX when I was making it - it's 12mm pipe (vapor suction line comming from evaporator), about 50 cm long with 3 x 2.3mm captubes inside (liquid comming from condenser) .

Maybe that will help a bit .

Here is mine another system with bigger SLHX using Danfoss NL11F compressor - check this

Oh, I forgot :

Temps on GPU - Radeon X550 (vmoded) was -60 to -69*c evaporator :

Mother nature in 3DMark2001, VGPU 1.55V .

Idle on evap in Windows .

And here You have orginal topic about this unit on XS : http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showth...&highlight=R507

Peter

Yes, I really like fast cars ..like Evo, WRX or fast Hondas. I'm intersted in streetracing and tuning too ;-) . I really love cars which looks like creep, but they're really fast- it's the best in tuning for me .

After 26 may (end of mine exams ), I'm going to start some new projects ..You'll see in near future, that should be surprise ..I can only say that I'm going to use rotaries in few next systems .

I forget to show You one funny thing - some mounths ago my friend say me that He really want that his unit (made be me) would have a logo ...so ..I said - OK . For some first days his necessity had been very weird for me, but..if He really want :

I have stickers with that logo ...rotary unit will be having sticker in few days too LOLLL

Colorful brothers , with stickers .

I know it weird detail but ...can be funny, for me it had been .

@kissagogo27 : If we're speaking about older french cars I really like R5 GTT ..very cheap car even here in Poland, but not popular, we have in Poland some "overclocked" GTTs (on big turbo) ..I'm really surprised what that small engine can pass ..only 1.4l and people here easy pass 230HP with it ..that GTT with +200PS really "fly", on 1/4 mile it easy beat stock WRX .
